Hanoi University of Mining and Geology (HUMG)

1. Foundation Date

The University was founded on August 8th, 1966.

2. Mandate

To train technical experts in exploration and exploitation of natural resources, and in protection of mining and the geological environment, and to be a center for research and technology transfer in geology, oil and gas, surveying, and mining. Higher education is also provided in theoretical sciences, information technology and economics and business administration.

3.1. Undergraduate Education: B.Sc. in mining, geology, petroleum, surveying, economics and business administration: 
5 years.

3.2. Postgraduate Education

- Master''''s degree (M.Sc.): 2-3 years.

7. International Relations

For over thirty five years since its establishment, HUMG has developed an effective and long - term relationship with many foreign institutions, universities, and companies.

The co-operation is particularly on:

- Exchange programs of staff and students in training and research courses;

- Joint research projects and joint organization of conferences;

- Exchange of academic materials and information.
